ape file??

i downloaded a dead can dance show and i am having problems burning it to dvd i have never seen a ape file, iwhat do i do

If you're just trying to archive the files, burn it as a normal data DVD. But if you're trying to make an audio CD-r (which I suspect is the case), then you need to decode the ape files to wav. Traders' Little Helper does this:

there should be no problems burning ape files as a data dvd. what kind of dvd are you trying to burn?

munchkin, you do realize that ape files are just like shn and flac files in that they are compressed *audio* files, not video, right? Whatever application you use to burn decompressed flac or shn files should be just fine with your ape files once you decompress them. But, you do have to decompress them first, I believe (not sure if foobar or other applications will burn on-the-fly with ape files).
