yes it is true some stations are broadcasting in lossy

no idea, thats the main problem (show date is 2000/08/12). It also claims to be an audience source, if its not then it would have to be a composite of FM sources...

This looks like mp3. Notice how the pilot is encoded. The stripe has to be a line even if it's mp2/lossy-fed.
