I agree that she left too soon.
Yup, life isnt fair, that goes without saying most days

I didn't mention that the tines of the fork went up under the fingernail and drew blood. Thats really what prompted the thoughts of Kat.

Good thing nobody else was there to see it, I might have been though quite mad, smiling looking at my bleeding finger and a fork.
