microgaps between tracks

Howdy,
I need help with a problem...microgaps between track changes on audio downloads. Basically, I use utorrent to download and convert to wave, load it onto either sonic or roxio to burn---both are clicked as DAO--but I still get gaps between some of th track changes.
I'm finding that some of these gaps are built into the flac tracks. How do I get rid of them? I also downloaded Traders Little Helper, which is a lot ot read and a little intimidating.
How do I get rid of the gaps and also what is a good downloadable program to burn cds?
Thank you,

Re: microgaps between tracks

if the gaps are truly IN the wav files, you are screwed. You'll have to combine them all to a single wav for the whole performance and edit each one by hand, then re-split on sector boundaries.

If they gaps are NOT in the wavs, they are occurring when you burn. These will generally be 2 second gaps (default) and can be set to 0 before you burn.

I suppose we could start with having you post the waveform for 3-4 files and lets see if there is silence at the beginning or end of each tracks.

Re: microgaps between tracks/pt.2

Thank you for the post. I guess the best way to explain is download in flac, go to foobar and enque the individual flac tracks, select all and convert to wav, then individuallly load each wav track to the burn soft ware(roxio or sonic, which I now use). The gaps aren't between all tracks just some in random spots(tween tr 2/3, 4/5, 8/9, so on) and they are a blank silence betwee for maybe a 1/2 second. Both burning mechs. are set to DAO.
Is there a proper way to do it, am I messing up?
Help! My thanks too!
