nero cd-dvd speed question
I got this thing to check how well a dvd/cd burned and I just realize something. When I go to "scan disc" to check for 'c1/c2 - PI/PO test' if I choose 1x or 2x it's almost always a perfect read, however when it put it up to say like 8x speed for reading the disc, it's all screwed up. Is this the disc that's messed up, just the fact that i'm reading it so fast that the data on it can't be read right and thus it says it's messed up or what exactly?
I hope all that makes sense. No members have liked this post.

Re: nero cd-dvd speed question
it's probably both... not so good of a burner and not so good of media. It could be either.... but it's probably both (assuming your computer is setup properly with DMA enabled).
I've come to find out through trial an error that Plextor drives are far superior to my Sony and NEC drives. I've had DVDs that won't copy due to "errors" with those drives and I take them next door to my buddies and they copy fine on his Plextor. What kind of drive do you use?
