Lossy? Strange line/peak at 19Khz
Hey,
I was just checking some shows for a trade before I copy them and I checked one show that contains a strange phenomena. The frequency analysis shows a random, strong peak at 19KHZ The spectral view shows a strong line at that same frequency. www.swis.net.au/~bendil.dsl/offspring95fa.gif www.swis.net.au/~bendil.dsl/offspring95sa.jpg I've seen this before but can someone tell me what this weird line indicates? Where does it come from? Im assuming it's mp3 or lossy of some description. thanks -Dylz No members have liked this post.

Re: Lossy? Strange line/peak at 19Khz
I believe that is from an FM source. Someone else will come confirm or tell me I am sooo wrong!

Re: Lossy? Strange line/peak at 19Khz
Positively, US FM Analog Radio (not IBOC). The stereo pilot is at 19.0kHz.

Re: Lossy? Strange line/peak at 19Khz
I'd have to agree, I think mdlp is the only (common) codec that shoots such holes into the spectrum.
