PCM format ok?

I have something recorded on my Sony MZ-RH1 mini disk recorder, in PCM format. I know it's old, but it's all I have. Would the show be allowed as a torrent and/or a vine?

If ok what format should I convert to? flac?

thanks

Re: PCM format ok?

if it is definitely PCM wav and wasn't recorded using MD's ATRAC compression format, then yes it'd be allowed

convert to flac

Icon4 Re: PCM format ok? MD recordings question...

PCM is wave format files, isn't it? Bring it on! That MZ-RH1 is one of those Hi-MD recorders, correct?

I'd also like to say that if it is an older ATRAC MiniDisc recording done pre-Jan 1 2008, it's still good, right?

I have a Van Halen master ATRAC MD that's done Dec. 5 2007 Vancouver BC that I've been recently working on for potential upload. It might be one of the last allowable ATRAC MD's allowed here. It does sound pretty good!
