They decided to close their doors on March 31. I think they announced it about one or two months ago.

The Tapecity founders said that they didn't have as much time to devote to the site anymore ... so they shut it down. In the last month the traffic was reasonably high. Everybody was doing things that they had been putting off (The End Is Near). The last day was this past Wednesday.
Bummer. It was a nice place.  I guess I'm the n00b here. I only got into boots in the last 2 years (but I've got tons of CDs / LPs / etc.). I never was at the Sharing The Groove website. Why did it shut down? No members have liked this post.

It's an imaginary slide guitarist. If you make the image larger you can see he has many rings on plus a slide on his little finger.
Sorry to disappoint you ... it is nobody you or I know ... I don't know why it is a GIF. I uploaded it to Photobucket as a JPEG and then brought it into TTD via URL on the Control Panel / Edit Avatar page. No members have liked this post.

Well, yes and no.
It seems that the forum is up and members can login, but the trackers are down. Applause and clapping hands are in order. What we have there (for now) is a community ... which is what we have here at TTD. So that's doubly good!  :
