A silly question about torrenting.
Suppose... you have a torrent you're downloading which is stuck at a certain percentage. And suppose you had a copy of the exact same files, same MD5 hashes (e.g. from another torrent on another tracker). And you close out the client, and overwrite the incomplete files, then launch the client. Would the torrent be re-seeded or would it be corrupt?
Just wondering, thanks. No members have liked this post.

Re: A silly question about torrenting.
Don't even need to close the client. Just stop the torrent, point it to the folder with complete file set, do a re-check, start the torrent again.

Re: A silly question about torrenting.
I would suggest making a copy of the completed folder, and then pointing the client to it. That way, should something be amiss, you won't be stuck with an incomplete copy.
