Raising guitar in an aud recording using EQ?
i normally don't do much post production & let the individual eq it for them selves but my Melvins audio from last week is seriously lacking in the guitar area. it's all drums & vocals. what would be the best way to bring up the guitar using eq? bass reduction helped a bit, but i'd liked to bring it out more if possible. any help would be great. thanks.

Re: Raising guitar in an aud recording using EQ?
since the guitars are mids I would think sweep around the mids until you find the guitars then boost a little.
if you're not too experienced perhaps better to leave it alone? its up to you

Re: Raising guitar in an aud recording using EQ?
If you have access to an analog EQ, I'd play the recording through that and mess around with it until you find the right frequency, then you can boost that frequency using the digital EQ in whatever program you're using. That's what I've done.
