Re: site mirroring

A mirror is a Web site or set of files on a computer server that has been copied to another computer server so that the site or files are available from more than one place. For files that are popular for downloading, a mirror helps reduce network traffic, ensures better availability of the Web site or files, or enables the site or downloaded files to arrive more quickly for users close to the mirror site.

That's the basic definition, but I have no idea how you would go about doing it though.

That takes awhile if you want to save a whole site and not just a page.

There is a program called SurfOffline which worked well for me. Its for windows, and im not sure if it costs money. I set it to the main page of a site and set it to go 2 pages down, so it would save the main page and any links from it, as well as any links from those pages.

Imagine, Americans. An Empire did everything we are trying to do already, mostly better than us, because they actually had a CULTURE to offer the world, beyond Ronald McDonald.

Re: site mirroring

there is software available that will push/pull server data in real-time
to multiple servers or any workstation. this software is most often used as an off-site backup strategy.
