Re: RAID R1....

Ok....
Can I make my 2nd drive(mirror) a regular hd & then do a restore on my 1st drive.
After I restore drive 1 I can take what's good from 2 & bring it over to 1.
Then dump everything on 2 & bring it back to array....

make sense?

You know, you may want to PM Craig (direwolf-pgh) and point him towards this thread. I think he may be able to help you out.

Re: RAID R1....

Is your OS on the array? or do you have a separate drive for that. you didn't list it above. and is this a software raid or do you have a raid card not listed above.

Re: RAID R1....

I'm pretty sure the MB has onboard RAID. Did the system come from Dell as R1 if so wouldn't the restore put it back that way?

Correct...I'm in Safe mode now
After I retrieve what's needed I will restore.
Hopefully the system will be back to "as purchased"
