Burning audio problems
A friend of mine is having trouble when he tries to burn an audio disc. I believe he's using a lite-on burner. What happens is the audio on the computer is fine, but when he plays the cd after the burn, he hears some clicks and pops toward the end of the cd. It starts out fine.
This is closely related to Ninja's thread, and may be caused by similiar issues. Any ideas? Thanks, GG No members have liked this post.

Re: Burning audio problems
Try burning slower, or using different media.

Re: Burning audio problems
Goat, the best way to find the source of the problem would be to burn to CD and then extract that audio with the same drive. Then listen to both the original source track and the one that's been on a CD, and confirm that they are identical. If so, then the CD player is having difficulty reading the CDR for one reason or another. And Ninja has already stated, slowing down the speed it's burned at can help fix this problem, but also changing media brand can help finicky CD players find something they like.

Re: Burning audio problems
Thanks guys, here's the latest info I have on it
"I'm having a problem with burning discs at the moment and can't really work out why. On the occasional disc I get a whirring clicking noise over the top of the music. Its not continuous and happens mainly towards the end of the disc.As far as I know ,no other programs are running in the background and I set the burn speed to as low as it can go - 12x . The system I'm running is an Athlone XP2700+,Wiindows XP Home and EasyCd Creator 5.0 Platinum. The burner in question is an Atapi CD-RW 48/16/48x. If anyone could give me some advice (before I do the Rock thing and throw it out the window !!) I would be very grateful. Thanks for reading" Not sure on the media yet and I'm going to suggest all of the above answers. No members have liked this post.

Re: Burning audio problems
it could be that his burner is dying... I had a burner die on me, it still worked and everything, it just started adding that "whirring clicking noise" over top of the music it burned. not just the end of my disc, but the whole disc!
