Re: VHS TAPES: PAL AND NTSC FORMATS?

As you pointed out you did convert it from it's native format NTSC to PAL

if your in the US why didn't you leave it as NTSC in the conversion to digital?

Re: VHS TAPES: PAL AND NTSC FORMATS?

a bit confusing, which is probably why it was pulled

was the source VHS tape you transferred from in NTSC or PAL? if the tape was in NTSC, and you authored in NTSC, then i don't see a problem...if the tape was PAL and you authored to NTSC, then it wouldn't be allowed here at TTD

Re: VHS TAPES: PAL AND NTSC FORMATS?

i'd *assume* if yer in the US, and used a US-purchased VCR to transfer, that the tape was in NTSC [most American VCR decks won't play PAL format tapes]

but there's a lot of assuming, since you don't know for sure...i'd say just upload the show at another site that has less stringent rules than we do
