Anyone else no longer have audio in XP/Media Center?

Both my sisters laptop and my moms desktop PC's have lost audio in the past couple of weeks. They both have Auto Updates on, no viruses or anything like that. My pc that has Auto Updates turned of stil has audio.

I have even uninstalled the audio drivers and reinstalled, and still nothing. Doesnt even play out the headphone jack.

i have no idea what is going on. Nothing is muted, both machines show RealTek audio cards, wierd to think that both machines use them (two different makes).

Are you sure that they didn't inadvertantly mute WMP by clicking on the control button on the right, next to the volume slide...people have been known to do that.
