need help seeding

Hello,

I created a torrent, downloaded it and opened it with my client (utorrent) but nothing happens. Do the files have to be in the directory that they were in when I created the torrent, or in my torrent download folder, or...

Thanks.

Re: need help seeding

I figured it out. But does anyone know if/how I can seed a torrent without having to put the file in my download folder. i.e. can I seed different shows from different parent directories? U-torrent doesn't seem to allow this.

Thanks.

never used that program, but you *should* be able to point it to whatever folder the show is in, it will check the files and then begin seeding

Re: need help seeding

You need to go into your Preferences (or Options, whatever they are called) and turn off the option to always save the files in the same folder, or it may say something like always ask before saving. Either way, find that option and set it up so it always asks. Then when you open the torrent, it will ask where to save the files and you can point to any folder on your drive.
