Re: Soon to be the greatest portable digital music device! ?

recording in 64-160 kbps MP3 format, 8, 44.1 & 48KHz WAV

What does the "8" mean right after "format"?
Certainly not 8 bit. It does not metion anything about 16 or 24 bit.
Anyone know what the deal is?

Re: Soon to be the greatest portable digital music device! ?

Edirol now has a 24 bit recorder, records to compact flash-no moving parts but less capacity. Neuros is looking at US as their market as opposed to 15 yr old skateboarders listening to rap on headphones.-The add-on moduales, future flac/gapless plans/big HD options, fairly stealthy.. altogather a good step. On Oade's site I got a sense the inputs,ADC's could be better but in that price range you don't get everything

Are you talking about the R-1? If so it's a shame they didn't put the optical on the input side instead of output. Would rather have bypassed their ADC, not much need for the digital output when the CF card plugs into your PC.
