Re: Yellow Lights! Arrrgh!
when you went into your router did you uncheck the box labeled
Block Anonymous Internet Requests if you did all three correctly, there is no reason that it should not work. the last 2 steps are obviously the simpliest and canyouseeme only deals with the first 2 steps, I would go over the router setup again...if you did something wrong that's where the problem undoubtably lies.

Re: Yellow Lights! Arrrgh!
ya got me
the ony thing I would suggest is that since the last 2 steps are the simpliest and hardest to screwup, that you try isolating the router. connect your pc directly to the modem and see if it works that way...maybe you can then narrow the problem.

Re: Yellow Lights! Arrrgh!
Thanks for all of the help so far. I am still seeing a yellow light but I was wondering if my virus protection software could be causing problems? I am running McAfee and SuperAntiSpyWare concurrently. Does anyone know if that is a problem?
Thanks. No members have liked this post.

Re: Yellow Lights! Arrrgh!
the anti spyware program should have no effect. If the mcafee program has a firewall...then disable it (you also should not have the security set to the very highest levels). If you are still yellow when hooked directly to the modem you have made a mistake somewhere in the xp firewall or specifing the ports in your client, hard as that is to believe
