? on DVD-R media
are DVD-R's compatible with a CD player. I have a year old Kenwwod deck in my truck.I'd like to use DVD-R's to burn shows to compact the amount of cisks in my truck.if anyone would shed some light it would be a big help. also a recommendation on good DVD-R & CD-R's ?

no...
as for good brands of DVDRs/CDRs, i only use Taiyo Yuden [especially for archiving/trading shows]...you can get them for the low-low at supermediastore.com, also rima.com, and a few other places but i'm blanking right now
