Question Share ratio appears incorrectly

I just finished my first download here on TheTradersden, but my share ratio is shown wrong, perhaps I was leeching and seeding whilst I was not actively logged in here on www.thetradersden.org.

The result: My share ratio shown here is poor 0.10 - 186.02MB down and 18.13MB up.

But my actual share ratio proved by bittornado0.3.7. for this torrent is 778,86MB down and 979,86 up - a 1.258 ratio! ( changing, because I'm still seeding)

So how will you comment on such a big difference? Such a phenomenon is only appearing here, not on DIME, toritraders, U2torrents or Jungleland to name a few.

How does it come that the share ratio is only valuable, when I'm logged in. Is this fair?

Re: Share ratio appears incorrectly

DIME/u2torrents use passkeys and the tracker we are using uses IPs. So, if at anytime you login from another place, it will confuse the tracker and the stats will get updated incorrectly. There is a thread about this in Technobabble. You can send an email to the Contact Us link below to get your stats manually changed.

No, I was not logged in from ANOTHER place. I stayed on the tracker leeching and seeding but I was logged out on tradersden. With the same effect.....

Not to wake up a dead horse but....

BitTornado, awesome as it is, is old and really should be left alone. It doesn't incorporate DHT, peer exchange or packet encryption.

Go with µTorrent 1.5.

Now to explain why your share ratio wasn't correctly reported by your client. When you PAUSE BitTornado for a length of time during data transfer, the client has a habit of reporting neither your uploaded totals or/and your downloaded totals to the tracker. I know because I used to use BitTornado and experienced the very same thing you are posting about.

Again, ditch this client and experience faster data transfer and a far superior bt client with either Azureus 2.4.x.x or the best of them all; µTorrent 1.5.

That is all.

If I could just talk to Bill_Kate I could straighten out my problem as we are friends that have not spoken in about a year, however we were once close so he will know who I am - I work for Oteil Burbridge and his band The Peacemakers...
