firewalled.
I've been firewalled for quite sometime, and I'd like to unfirewall myself. I've tried recently to open my ports, & I have tried following the instructions over at portforward.com to do this.
I'm alright up to the step where I have to find my static ip address. It says if you see a dot in the setup IP address automatically, you are done. I see that, but I cannot then locate that IP address to type into the box. http://portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm http://portforward.com/english/route...BitTornado.htm thanks for you're help. Re: firewalled.
If you open up a terminal and type "ipconfig", it will give you your local IP. It will look something like "192.168.1.xxx".
edit: It actually shows you how to open up the terminal and get this information in the first link you posted.
