FIREWALLED??

I saw where I've been FIREWALLED. First off, why & second, how do I get it
reversed? If I can that is. I didn't even realize I had done anything
wrong. If it's because I don't put any shows up on here for people to
torrent, it's because I don't know how to. I'd be happy to if I knew how to
do it.

Re: FIREWALLED??

Did you read this thread - Before posting about being firewalled... What does canyouseeme say about your port? Do you use a router? Have you forwarded your port through the router? Do you have the firewall software turned on for your computer?

Re: FIREWALLED??

First TTD Staff, yes I read the info on the thread. Might as well have been in Japanese. Not a technical wizard here.

Which leads to my next answer:
If I knew how to put shows up on here, I'd do it ep62O. Maybe you ought to think about things on the situation before getting on here and just opening your yap dude. I don't know how to post anything. Other wise, I'd be putting shows all over this place. Try staying away from the booze for a few days. Maybe it would give a little common sense when answering a post.

Re: FIREWALLED??

If you read the FAQ section there is quite a bit on seeding. The mods will help as well if you have questions.

Re: FIREWALLED??

I've emailed the site directly. I know it's my computer causing it. I'm just not sure how. It doesn't really to seem to have any kind of an effect on anything, unless it would prohibit my uploading shows to the site, and people being able to download those shows.

That would be my biggest concern.

Re: FIREWALLED??

In order to help you fix the problem we still need the info U2Lynne asked for in her post.

The first question is the most important one. Did you visit www.canyouseeme.org (and filled in the port number your torrent client is using) and what did it say? If it says they can see you, you're good. Otherwise we still need the answers of the other questions.

Re: FIREWALLED??

Here's what I got off of canyouseeme:

"Error: I could not see your service on 108.205.148.153 on port (80)
Reason: Connection timed out"

As far as the rest, if by router, you mean a modem, then yes. I have a router. I've no idea how to forward the port through it, so I doubt it. Firewall is turned on. I'm not exactly sure I know what to do to turn it off. Don't really want to get a virus on my computer, so I'd rather leave that be.

Re: FIREWALLED??

Very weird. The only web page I can access is this one. When I opened IE, it said something about the DNS server. Don't know what it is, don't know how to change settings.
