When trying to burn a DVD it says there isnt enough room on the DVD. Is there different lengths of DVDs? The original disk says Approx. 115 min and the one im writing to says its 120min. 4.7GB Data (MAXELL)

Re: DVD length
It's not a question of minutes, it's a question of the bitrate that the video is encoded. Higher bitrate, larger file sizes.
If you really need a lot of information about the BASICS of DVD creation, the place I would go to is www.videohelp.com There's a really large group of users, so there are tons of threads and places to read about DVD creation. There aren't as many people involved in this forum, so you might be much better served checking videohelp first. No members have liked this post.

Re: DVD length
exactly right, wazoo2u.
now, hypothetically of course, if this were a Hollywood type DVD, then it is likely to not fit onto a single DVD±R(W) disc... as most of those have very high bitrates, and go well into the 6-8 GB range for total size. No members have liked this post.

Re: DVD length
you can fit 70 mins at a bitrate of 8
basically the best quality you can get without some players saying the data rate is to high and not playing the disc after 70 mins you have o compress it down No members have liked this post.
