Roann why don't you publish your program on a site like Softpedia?

Re: Trader's Little Helper

Just wanted to thank you for making TLH and continuing to support it.
I have used it for years and have never had a problem-
I have also recommended it to many people who also love it!
Thanks for all the work on this wonderful and convenient tool!

Re: Trader's Little Helper

I have TLH and use it quite often. Recently, however, I aquired several aiff files and TLH doesn't seem to support that format. Is there a plug in for that or another program similar to TLH that's free?

Re: Trader's Little Helper

Foobar2000 but you will need to download the flac/mp3 encoders yourself. For WAV you don't need anything.

Re: Trader's Little Helper

I'm wondering why flac.exe is trying to connect out of the TLH folder to the internet via uTorrent when using TLH? I ran it to check ffp and got a message from Webroot Internet Security firewall about it. Now uTorrent can no longer connect to the internet! It says that the tracker of what I'm downloading is offline, but I checked with an admin on that site and they have no tracker problems. It's also now telling me my port isn't open when I know it is. All these changes happened immediately after using TLH and it wanting to connect to the internet.

I went into Webroot and deleted all definitions relating to TLH, flac and shn, closed it up, then flac.exe tried to connect even though I wasn't running TLH, which is the prog that is making flac.exe try to connect.

I can't live without uTorrent! Ack!

So why is that happening? Just to update flac?

Does anyone know how to fix this in Webroot? It's more confusing than my last security software but it sure is better! Off to their forums now...

Re: Trader's Little Helper

Whoa!!! So I decided to try one more time to delete all definitions related to TLH, flac, shn and uTorrent to start fresh. After deleting flac.exe rule it asked to connect again from TLH but this time it wanted to connect through WINDOWS SIDEBAR!!! What does TLH have to do with Windows Sidebar??? I can kind of understand if it were updating via uTorrent, but sidebar.exe??? And why does TLH keep trying to get flac.exe connect to internet even when I'm not using it???

What is going on here???

Re: Trader's Little Helper

Never happened to me. Scan for viruses and other things.

Roann can you make your program pinable in the Windows 7 taskbar?

Re: Trader's Little Helper

@ feralicious:

Never experienced this weirdness... totally confusing, especially as µTorrent is reported to be involved. Things I'd try to localize the problem:

- Check for viruses and other malware.
- Check whether there are any instances of flac.exe running when TLH is closed.
- Check whether .flac file extension is associated with µTorrent.
- Uninstall Webroot, TLH and µTorrent completey. Re-install all three programs (latest TLH release here).

@ kill_them_all1000:

You can pin TLH to the Windows 7 taskbar manually (see here, for example).
