Re: The "It's broken, please fix it" thread...

Well this thread is a bit out of order. My post appeared at the top instead of the bottom.

EDIT: Since the clock was off and people posted in the future, our new posts need to logically come before them. This will all stop after I few days I guess.

Re: The "It's broken, please fix it" thread...

Hello,
I may have missed this info elsewhere, but re: the tracker stats, with only occasional access to high speed, I am very conscious of my ratio. Were all uploads during the server change etc. Lost? Or will they be restored.
Is the tracker working successfully now?
Thanks in advance and thanks for operating this great site.

all the video bit torrents show 10 seeders, 7 leechers, and 1417 completes.

every single one of them.

Re: The "It's broken, please fix it" thread...

hmm. the three vids I'm on show different population counts than each other....and different populations on each torrent's page than what it shows in the "Current Activity In tracker" field on userpage.

better you than me....

Really.... right now? I made some changes about 30 minutes ago, I think? Try a Force Refresh and see if they look different now.

Re: The "It's broken, please fix it" thread...

My 3 showed a few of the peers shown on their web pages had some very smallish transfer activity when I checked 5 min. ago, but now seem to show fewer peers connected than before, and zero activity again. Seems like each time I go back and refresh the pages the population changes, as if different peers are making and losing connection (though I seem to be staying hooked up). Or maybe it's users who are deliberately dropping and trying to reconnect.

Dunno what my client's up to now b/c it's 25 mi. away. I never terminated my connections during the downtime, perhaps that's why it's been able to hang on all night and morning and my uploads have apparently persisted throughout. Are folks who hung up having trouble reconnecting to the tracker?

Hmm. clicked "delete ghosts' on userpage to see what that does. Made my torrents disappear from "Activity on tracker," though I'd bet a dimeadozen they're still happening and this is another anomaly of web display of actual activity....?

Wow are the times of postings off or what!
I can't find anything posted that's new.
This is kind of a personal test to see where it comes up in the list...
How long will it really take to reset itself?

Are you like one of those people who tries to take advantage after a hurricane or something?

That what "delete ghosts" is supposed to do. It deletes all your current activity on the tracker so that the next time it updates it only has you listed once on a torrent.

Re: The "It's broken, please fix it" thread...

FYI, Lynne: Some of the posts' date/timestamps look off. If you check in the Lounge, there is a post showing a last update of 2/18 (tomorrow) and others showing times for later tonight.

Either that or my flux capacitor is screwed up again.

EDIT: Just saw the notice that the server time was messed up & has been fixed. Ummmm, yup - that would do it. Thanks!
