It's simply not fair. As for B&P, sure, but it really depends on your personal circumstances. Mine are specially annoying, exchange rates, poor (or no) mail system, lack of appropriate recordable media at decent prices, and let's not take away the fact that I'm a poor student with a Zeppelin fixation to begin with.

Who cares about predicting the popularity of a torrent or seeding strategies? Just seed!! If you left that torrent open you seeded for 10+ days instead of just 5+ you might of had a ratio of 2:1, thus increasing your ratio even more. And whats with this complaining about exchange rates for b&p's? You get blank discs in exchange to cover the costs for sending shows to people which covers you lame excuse of not being able to get "appropriate recordable media at decent prices". Stop your complaining and seed!!!

same could be said of hundreds of other members...point being -- don't just d/l a ton of ish and not share back...leave yer torrents running for a few weeks after you've d/l'ed, or even months if thats what it takes...and for that *very* small percentage who *truly* do have bandwidth issues, offer B&Ps or vine the shows...simple as that

I've always had the intention to raise my ratio, and i have been over the past few months. I've only downloaded 46 GB and i've uploaded 22 GB. Do i really deserve to be labeled an uberleecher, the only reason my ratio is where it's at, is because i downloaded older torrents when i first signed up, had i known it would be an issue i would have stuck to newer torrents. Every new torrent i download i seed to a 1.2 or a 1.3. If this business of ratios really bothers so many people, you should enforce a ratio, then you can delete this retarded thread. It seems mean spirited to run a site without ratio requirements, only to have a thread shaming people for not having a good ratio.

I'm all against share ratio enforcement, it takes away the opportunities of so many users from developing/third world countries. Tracker admins should really get off their thrones and show some sympathy for us.

It's a good thing all the people with .13 ratios don't sign up for new accounts in an attempt to start over.

Personally, I don't care about people's ratios, but they often:
1. Hit and run torrents
2. Do the most bitching in threads, and
3. Have the biggest gimme-gimme attitude.

So, that's why they usually aren't cut any slack. Finally, when you have a crappy ratio at lots of sites (Dime, R-O, here, etc.), here's a thought - Download less! I know plenty of people in non-Latin American countries with slow internet that have decent ratios. Live within your means.

I have gotten it up to .57 & am still seeding a DMB concert after a year that has fed up several hundred GB.
