Re: Assistance please with burning a DVD
Assuming you get no error messages with Nero & dvd burning rom is set to dvd video and you drag the video ts file into the red video ts file then I would switch media brands.
Verbatim DVD DL -R x4 x8 are the best blank media. Taiyo Yuden have fianlly released a DVD DL-R x8 but I am waiting for these to arrive. I had all sorts of problems with a new laptop burning dvd coasters. I switched software & even got a new DVD burner under warranty to find I had no more problems when I switched to Taiyo DVDs. Re: Assistance please with burning a DVD
thanks for the info, I did have Azureus running while I was burning and maybe some other stuff so I'll try shutting everything down. I had major probs burning DVDs when I got new computer last year but its because I used junk media, I switched to the Taiyo Yuden and have had no probs at all since except with the Dual Layer burning.
Thanks again, LG No members have liked this post.

You did click the box on the bottom that says DVD-9[8.5 GB]? I'm sure you did but it was another possible problem that ran through my mind. No members have liked this post.

Re: Assistance please with burning a DVD
You're right, but those are pretty expensive: approx. $2.00 per gold DVD-R and $1.00 per gold CD-R.

Re: Assistance please with burning a DVD
As well as not having anything else running, you could try imgburn to burn the discs instead of nero:
http://www.imgburn.com/ And check out the forums for the guides on dl discs, etc: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showforum=4 No members have liked this post.

Re: Assistance please with burning a DVD
Another vote for ImgBurn. It's excellent for all kinds of DVD burning.
For audio CDs I use a different program - Burrrn. I like it because of its simplicity as I don't need any hassle from a chore I do very rarely, like once a month. No members have liked this post.
