Probably not lossy but what ?

Joy Division - 79-11-02 Winter Gardens, Bournemouth and the seeder (EZT) thinks it's sourced from a CD bootleg. Certainly doesn't look like classic lossy but is this just the consequences of poor recording equipment ?

hard to tell. could possibly be over-noise reduction, doesn't look like the usual mp3source. could also possibly be 32kHz DAT or FM?

Re: Probably not lossy but what ?

Yeah, I'd considered NR but most examples of that I've seen have a kind of stairstep at the tail off on the high end frequency analysis and look a wee bit blocky in the spectral. This torrent has just been yanked BTW because three of the tracks were officially released. I don't have the relevant box set unfortunately but I'd love to know what shape they're in on it.
Cheers for the response.
