Slow download with Azureus

Hello I'am new here and this is the first time I work with torrents.
I always use newsgroups but I was looking for something I couldn't find there.

Here is my question.
I use Azureus and I tested my download speed and it showed me around 300 kBs.
Now I download a dvd and I have a speed around the 20 kBs, much to slow I think

I configured NAT and the smile is green.
I also configured the firewall.
Can someone tell me what I'am doing wrong or is this normal?

Re: Slow download with Azureus

What torrent are you trying to download? Your download speed is dependent on the seeders upload speed. So, if there is just one seeder and one leecher (you!), then you can only download at what he is able to upload at. It's hard to analyze it anymore than that since you aren't currently downloading anything here.

Re: Slow download with Azureus

Than I think that is the problem.
I download Bon_Jovi_-_Wembley_23-06-1995_(2_DVD_SET)
and from an other torrent site [Snarf-It.org]_Bon_Jovi_Big_Hot_Night

Both are slow and at this moment I have for [Snarf-It.org]_Bon_Jovi_Big_Hot_Night Seeders 5(5) Leechers 3(13) download speed 7 kB/s
and for the other Seeders 1(4) Leechers 8(11) download speed 10 kB/s

Re: Slow download with Azureus

The number in the parenthesis is the total amount of seeders/leechers that are on the torrent. The number before the parenthesis is the number of seeders/leechers that you are actually connected to. In the first case (Wembly), you are connected to 1 seeder and 8 leechers. In the second case, 5 seeders and 3 leechers. If these are older torrents, I'll bet the seeders are not putting all their upload power into them and so you are very limited in what your download speed will be. Just let them run and you will eventually get the show.
