Wireless problem - need help
here's my problem, I occasionally go to a friendly local watering hole that is a WiFi hotspot and do a little up/downloading from there and it usually works just fine....Except there is another guy who basically lives there and everytime he logs in I lose my connection and cannot get online as long as he is. His F...ing computer is like Kryptonite to me. Any thoughts and Help would be much appreciated. Or my evil side would like to return the favor

Re: Wireless problem - need help
only thing I can think of is that his laptop is set to the same IP address as yours - cant have that.
next time it happens, "renew" your IP address for the wireless connection No members have liked this post.

Thanks Dire but that was my first thought as well (Doesn't work)....could it have something to do with the wireless card I know he also has RealTek as well?

Re: Wireless problem - need help
doubt that an identical card could be an issue.
do you always sit in the same "spot" ? electrical/microwave interference is a common issue with wireless is there any encryption/keys - or is it unsecured and open wifi No members have liked this post.
