Help with Miles/Prince Download

I downloaded the files but have only gotten the video to play, cannot hear the audio. Anyone know what's up? Is the audio located in the MD5 file? I've since downloaded Nero & burned what i thought was both video & audio yet i only can watch it without sound. Any help would be appreciated. Grrrv1

Re: Help with Miles/Prince Download

The md5 is used to verify that your files are all complete. Can you hear the audio when you listen to it on your computer using a DVD player such as VLC at videolan.org?

Re: Help with Miles/Prince Download

No i can't that's what's so puzzling. Are the audio files supposed to be imbedded in the video ts files?

Re: Help with Miles/Prince Download

Yes, the audio and the video are mixed together in the VOB files that you downloaded. You actually tried to play it with VLC? Not something like Windows Media Player? Have you posted in the thread or read the thread to see if anyone else is having problems?

Re: Help with Miles/Prince Download

-check your mute button

-test your sound from the control panel

-if you have no sound - turn your machine completely off - power back on

its not the video..or you would see everyone complaining in the thread

Re: Help with Miles/Prince Download

Through my newbieness i changed the properties of the 1st & the 4th video file so i could open it in my default dvd player (of course it didn't work) maybe thats why the audio isn't playing but i don't know how to change em' back. Could that be watz causing it? It says its a BUP file. That right?

Re: Help with Miles/Prince Download

After NERO loads the files i can see it clear as day but can't hear it at all. I then burn the dvd which goes well but still can't hear a peep during playback on my dvd player.

Re: Help with Miles/Prince Download

I found the wav files but it says their protected when i try to play them. Maybe thats why they don't show up under Nero beacuse when it opens up the file it only shows Video & no audio. Is there another burn program i should try that will play protected wav files or should i try to reformat the wav files?

Re: Help with Miles/Prince Download

What application are you using as your default DVD player?

As for changing the default... on my ancient PC, I got to Folder Options > File Types, find the type (BUP File) and then hit Edit, select the action and then edit it to open with VLC instead.

edit: There are no wav files associatied with that download. There are not any typical audio files that go with a DVD. All you need for a DVD download is a VIDEO_TS folder which will contain ifo, bup, and vob files and then you open your DVD player and select the VIDEO_TS folder and it should play the whole DVD (you should not open just an ifo/bup/vob file).

Re: Help with Miles/Prince Download

I'm using the Nerovision express 2. I'll try the one your suggesting.

Re: Help with Miles/Prince Download

OK, I'm not a PC person, but isn't Nerovision the application used for *editing* video? You just want to use plain old Nero to burn the DVD (or Ones, as some people would push).

Re: Help with Miles/Prince Download

nerovision shouldn't come into play at all.

from your start menu, choose Nero Express.

Video/Pictures > DVD-Video Files

click "Add" then choose all the .VOB, .IFO, .BUP files.

burn to disc.
