Background noise

Transfered my video collection to dvd 2/3 years ago and when checking the dvd's 1 or 2 had a background scratch/rumble,checked the vids and it was there as well.Its more noticable on quieter parts but once you here it you are aware of it all the time.Just wondered if there is any software for removing this.

it depends on what the noise is like. if you can up a link to a sample I can check it out and try to help.
