PC won't recognize DVD drive

It was he external case. A "Bytecc." I remember it was on sale for some ricockulously low price. It hasn't even been six months.

my external burner just quit working

when i connect the usb i get a bubble that says unknown device and it doesnt install.. which is wierd cause its already installed.. ive had it for about 6 months

You guys should really be using ur drives with firewire, its much more reliable, faster, and just, better.
