Never done a check for MP3 sourcing before so....?

OK, Ive never checked for mp3 sourced stuff before as its come from torrents which have been checked etc, but Ive just gotr alot of commonly mp3 sourced stuff in a B+P and so want to check.

OK these are from analfreq:

^^This is FM sourced I believe, but need to know about mp3 sourcing....

now explain waht to look out for and I shall check them all myself, but in the mean time can you tell me please. Thanks.

You need to make the x-axis on your frequency plot extend to at least 22KHz as none but the most utterly fecal lossy sources will display any drop off below 11 KHz. Sample rate should be 44100 ?

turn off free run and turn on long term average, you want to screenie the red line not the blue stuff

Certainly looks kosher but a spectral analysis as well is always a good idea.

The possible FM source doesn't display any of the classic FM characteristics i.e. a discernable partial drop at around 15KHz and a spike at 19KHz from the pilot tone.

OK cheers, can I ask what did you look for in those to tell that, as I have alot of shows (around 40), and it will take a long time to post all of them on here, so what do you check.
