making changes (or not)-16/48 to 16/44

I got a really nice show recently and it appears to be 48k. I can inhale with Cubase (but then I'll never be President-lol). This can be exported as 44.1. What is the feeling about making the change before sharing? Normally, I would never touch those files I share. Am I doing a courtesy or is it better left alone?

current: Lineage Astra DVB-S Radio Broadcast (MPEG-1 Audio Layer II, 48 kHz @ 320 kbps) >Kathrein UFS-922 (Firmware v2.03) >rts >ftp >HDD >rts >TS Doctor v1.1.46 (demuxing) >mp2 (48 kHz @ 320 kbps) >FB2K v1.1.7 (conversion to wav) >wav (48 kHz) >WaveRepair v4.9.3 (tracking @ Red Book sector boundaries) >wav (48 kHz) >TLH v2.7.0 Bulid 172 >flac (48 kHz, no DAE) ********************* [proposed]: Conversion to 44.1 Steinberg's Cubase LE 1.0.8 (resampling to CDR redbook 16/44.1) > TLH 2.4.1 Build 160 (encode FLAC Level 8 + sector boundaries verified + generated md5/st5/ffp) P.S. Would the lineage above be ok at TTD? Is it "allowed"? No members have liked this post.

Not allowed here. Digital broadcasts are lossy (as seen in the lineage).

In regards to your basic question, I would leave it as-is, only downsampling my personal copy. No members have liked this post.

Yeah, unless you want it to be ready to burn to CDR(s) I would leave it at the highest quality.

Many cd burning programs will automatically convert 48Hz files to 44.1Hz before burning No members have liked this post.

I knew that lineage looked lossy. Thanks for the quick course correction.
