Can it? I was just looking today. Where do you find the ftp links? I really don't like downloading from the http links.

Re: Does anyone use FTP's anymore?

I upload to a server at a private site via ftp. There is also one ftp site still running from the lists mentioned in this thread. It's nice because there is no ratio to consider.

Re: Does anyone use FTP's anymore?

I still have a server that I bring up from time to time for a private exchange, sometimes of a raw master that needs to be mastered/tracked (just last week) or to trade in an artist that is not very electronic trading friendly. But, I also have a few gig of web space Comcast that I can use for temporary storage.

since when has that stopped you?

and on topic: FTP is too slow with big files for most folks nowadays. kinda old-school as far as the kids are concerned, too.

Re: Does anyone use FTP's anymore?

It hasn't. I'm happy with my ratio, sorry if it bothers you. I upload content and you don't, and that never bugs me about you 'lil buddy. my ftp server runs as fast as anything my isp will allow, so speed is not an issue for me.
