This show came to me supposedly lossless. Can someone help me interpret the SA and FA? I know it's from an FM broadcast because there's promos, etc. on the recording, but I don't know enough about FM to tell if this is lossless or lossy. There's no blockiness but it looks clipped at about 16k. What are those 2 lines at 16k and 19k?
Also, can you tell by the analyses if it's a pre-FM source or if it was recorded from the broadcast? Thanks No members have liked this post.

Re: Trouble reading FM broadcast SA
I have never seen an FM broadcast that had two stripes... normally only one stripe.
for sure it is not pre-fm, seems like its recorded from FM (with the extra stripe in there I-don't-know-how).

Re: Trouble reading FM broadcast SA
The FA alone is enough to prove that it's not lossy.
I believe the extra stripe in the Spectral Analysis is from static. Does the recording have some radio "hiss" in it? No members have liked this post.

That top line is a sign of a crappy sound card.

Re: Trouble reading FM broadcast SA
Thanks for the info guys. This is such a great service here.
BTW, no radio "hiss" - the show sounds GREAT - I just thought the SA was odd. No members have liked this post.
