trouble seeding uploaded show

i have several shows that i would like to upload to trader den, but Im having some problems.

I read all the FAQs that pertain to this matter, but for some reason its not workng. I upload the file, create the the thead and when I when I click on it to start seeding it takes me to Utorrent. So far so good, but when it gets to u torrent it starts off as if its going to download the file to seed it, but yet it does nothing. the arrow stays green and status remains at 'dowloading' what am i dong wrong?

You must point your torrent file to the folder that you want to upload. When utorrent opens (add a torrent) and asks where you want to save it (save as) select the folder you wish to upload, then hit OK. If all went well, utorrent will check the torrent file and when it reaches to 100% it will start seeding.

I think it's an option in uTorrent that it asks you where to save the files or else it defaults to a folder you entered which may be the wrong folder for where your files are. So, look in your options and make sure you didn't tell it to always save in the same directory. Turn that option off and then it will start asking you were to save and then you can point to the correct files.

not sure what im doing wrong here:

step 1. grateful dead folder>1975 folder>show that im trying to seed folder

Step 2. i create a torrent in utorrent and save it to the 'show im trying to seed folder' (i have also tried saving it to the 1975 folder)

Step 3 I went into traders den, filled out the upload torrent page and uploaded torrent from 'show im trying to seed folder'

Step 4 torrent page comes up in traders den and everything looks good, i click on the torrent file to download and it opens utorrent, file gets to 'download' status and stays at 0% nothing else happens does not get to seeding.

what am i doing wrong here? thanks and sorry if im missing the obvious.

Open the link from the download-page in uTorrent and then into the folder where you stored the actual show you´re trying to seed (the one that belongs to the torrent-link).

You save or download the show you want to seed into the same folder you want to seed. You already have the file so the download will take about a minute, and then automatically start to seed.
