Re: burn a dvd-audio rip
Usually it is in standard DVD format - meaning there is a VIDEO_TS folder with a bunch of ifo, bup, and vob files in it. In that case, you just burn it like would would a normal DVD. But, when you put it in your DVD player, no need to turn the TV on, cuz there is no video, just turn on the speakers (if you have your setup that way).

Re: burn a dvd-audio rip
Is it an audio rip of a DVD-Video or is it a rip of a true DVD-Audio disc (files in AUDIO_TS folder as well as possibly VIDEO_TS folder)?

Re: burn a dvd-audio rip
If it's an audio rip of a DVD-Video, with all the files in the VIDEO_TS folder, then just burn it like any other DVD-Video.
If it's a rip of a DVD-Audio disc, with files in the AUDIO_TS folder as well as possibly in the VIDEO_TS folder, then burning with Nero in data or ISO/UDF may not play in all DVD-Audio players for several reasons. -Nero may not format it correctly, because Nero kinda sucks, so not all players will be able to play it (some will). Prassi ONES will do it correctly, however. Just burn in data mastering mode, and drag in your AUDIO_TS folder and VIDEO_TS folder. The free program IMG Burn may be able to burn it directly. Or I think you can create an .iso file from the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders with IMG Burn, then burn the .iso file with IMG Burn or Nero. Creating an .iso file is kind of a roundabout way of doing it, but it should work. -Then there is watermarking on some discs. google for more info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD-Audio#Copy_protection No members have liked this post.

Re: burn a dvd-audio rip
Thanks for replying and for the info, I will check it out.
Here is the INFO TEXT FILE that came with it and the size and file type in each folder. I TRIED TO BURN AS A REGULAR DVD ( IFO,VOB,BUP) FILES USING NERO 7 AND IT GAVE ME AN EROR MESSAGE SAYING SOMETHING LIKE “ NOT THE CORRECT FORMATT AND MAY NOT BE CORRECT WHEN BURNED “” OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. SOMEONE TOLD ME I MIGHT HAVE TO ADD THE VIDEO_TS FOLDER CONTENTS TO THE AUDIO_TS FOLDER TO GET IT TO WORK, IS THIS CORRECT ???????? DVD 1 – AUDIO-TS FOLDER ( 3.61 GB ) It contains file names such as :: ATS_01_0.BUP ATS_01_1.AOB AUDIO_TS.VOB AUDIO_TS.IFO AUDIO_PP.IFO DVD 1 – VIDEO TS FOLDER ( 313 MB ) DVD 2 _ AUDIO TS FOLDER ( 3.57 GB ) DVD2 _ VIDEO TS FOLDER ( 507 MB ) (( INFO TEXT FILE INCLUDED )) Led Zeppelin February 12th, 1975 New York, New York - U.S.A. Re: burn a dvd-audio rip
You may want to burn a DVDRW of this just to try it out first. You want to be sure that a) your player will recognize the disc, that is, the menus come up, etc. and b) that the disc doesn't stop playing after 30 seconds
Even if your player stops playing it after 30 seconds, you can still play the Dolby Digital track in a DVD-Video only player (a player not capable of DVD-Audio playback), and other DVD-A players may be able to play it longer than 30 seconds. No members have liked this post.

Re: burn a dvd-audio rip
Oh is this a bootleg? OK it will definitely play longer than 30 seconds. The trick is burning it correctly so that it will be recognized by your player.
