Playing\opening a file straight after download?

Hi guys,
Maybe bit of a stupid question or I'm paranoid, but....
Will it damage the file (torrent) if I open (play) it?
Or should I burn it off to CD first, then seed it.
Any info, ideas, recommendations?
Thanks, Danny.

Re: Playing\opening a file straight after download?

you can listen to it while you're seeding, no problems.

if you alter one of the files somehow after downloading and can no longer get to 100%, then connect when there is no seeder bt could potentially screw up your files. if you're paranoid you could burn the data to disc first, or right-click the folder and make it read-only after it hits 100%
