Frankie Miller Band 1978-05-22 In Session 22 May 1978 (FLAC)
Uploaded yesterday - have 6 in swarm, 4 connected, but I'm not seeding -see also comments in above thread. I created the torrent file with TLH, not Azureus; didn't realise this until after a half hour or so of inactivity (it was late ..). This is one possible cause. Also, I set up an 'upload' folder with the flac files etc, which isn't the same one where Azureus normally places my downloads; second possible cause; can any of the mods or staff determine the actual cause from your end? If I set up a new torrent file, I assume I need to upload it again, in which case could one of the mods or staff pull the inactive torrent....? Oh, the shame of it; a failed first torrent ..... ![]() Regards, Graham No members have liked this post.

Re: Torrent not seeding - possible causes?
First time is the hardest - you are showing up as a leech - not seeder.
clear the torrent from Azureus> reselect the torrent file from your thread> 'Save' to the exact location of your hard drive (where the files exist) ------ second (and sometimes easier solution): clear the torrent file from Azureus> Select the torrent from your thread> 'Save' to your desktop (a folder will be created)> Stop the torrent in Azureus> Move all files into this new folder created by Azureus> Restart Azureus - it will check the files to 100%, then seed out ![]() No members have liked this post.

..and then 'open' the torrent file ...? Nope, tried that; it checked the files and then still seems to be expecting to download rather than seed... Try the second option now .... Do I use the 'new torrent' dialogue at this point, inputting the announce URL again..? I'll need to watch folder name in future; I've got all the files in a folder called 'flac' - not too descriptive, I know, and Azureus is using this as the torrent name ... noted for next time! Re: Torrent not seeding - possible causes?
I don't get the second series of events; 'clear' the torrent from azureus - i.e. right-click and 'remove' it from the torrent list? If I do this, how do I 'stop' the torrent a few steps later, since it won't be there to stop anymore...?

OK, cleared it with the 'remove' option; redownload the torrent from the thread, but it doesn't create a folder, merely allows me to select a destination folder for the torrent file... I can save it in the folder where the flac and ffp files are, but I've done that already and it still seems to want to download rather than seed ...

Re: Torrent not seeding - possible causes?
tell it to save where the files 'are not' (desktop) - then move the files into the folder
it will all come together in time No members have liked this post.

Azureus still presents me with the Windows 'Save As' dialog with the file type already filled as Torrent file, and even when I try to save it to my Desktop, it won't create a new folder.... just the torrent file on the desktop

Re: Torrent not seeding - possible causes?
^^gotcha..
start your torrent from your thread - become a leech it will create a folder (somewhere) move all your files into that folder & restart the torrent client. -experiment a few times No members have liked this post.

OK, stopped the torrent in Azureus, used 'remove' to clear it from Azureus, checked to ensure that there weren't any 'stray' torrent files around anywhere else on the PC, and created a new torrent file using Azureus this time, not TLH. This looked a lot more positive, as the torrent immediately went to the lower 'seeding' window, rather than the upper 'downloading' window. I uploaded the torrent after a kind mod had pulled the original, and it's just sitting there - I'm showing 4 peers, none of whom are connected, and there doesn't seem to be any activity.
Azureus tells me, under Show Details > General tab; "Connection Error (invalid reply: d1:failure reason 22:Invalid Passkey (0- )e)" If anyone can tell me what this means ... i assume this is why the peers aren't connected? ![]() Regards, Graham No members have liked this post.

Re: Torrent not seeding - possible causes?
invalid passkey means you have to download the torrent from ttd to get it "personalized"... download it from the announce thread, just as tho you were going to download it rather than seed it. get the old versions of the torrent out of there, only use the torrent from ttd. then you've gotta somehow get azureus pointed to the correct folder to get to 100%. I'm not sure exactly how azureus works since I use utorrent.

Just searching my C: file for torrent files to double-check this, Windoze search finds 159 files ; ohmigawd, have I REALLY downloaded that much already....!?!?!? However, back on track, there's only one Frankie Miller .torrent file, and I'm reasonably sure it's the one that I saved when I selected the personalised torrent as above...... No, strike that; there's two ; one with the filename that I gave it, and one with an underscore (_) as the first character; the underscore file was saved two days, ago, the one with the 'correct' filename today at 08.45 (which is when I uploaded today) Next; delete both .torrent files, download the personalised torrent again, and see how we do from there ???? ![]() Regards, Graham No members have liked this post.

Re: Torrent not seeding - possible causes?
It's enough to persuade me to just burn four CDs and mail them to the leechers...... only kidding - I think.

Re: Torrent not seeding - possible causes?
aieee...
we will figure this out somehow... stay with me here... ![]() are you on a PC? If so maybe we could try it with utorrent you can download it here: http://download.utorrent.com/1.6.1/utorrent.exe Lynne is the Azureus expert but she's on vacation right now ... otherwise she would probably have you sorted out by now ... ![]()
