Provide moderators with "common" IDs
As suggested by saltman (thanks salty!), I'm going to make a site suggestion.
In the corporate world, those with elevated privileges are sometimes provided two IDs, with one "common" ID used for day to day activities, and the elevated privileged ID used only when required. While there is not an obligation to protect stakeholder interests in this music trading website like there is in the corporate world, I wouldn't mind seeing the practice of two IDs implemented here. If a mod needs to conduct site business, use the mod ID. If a mod wants to shitpost/troll/generally be an asshole, use a common ID that can be ignored. Thanks you for the consideration!

In the corporate world, if those with elevated privileges say

Re: Provide moderators with "common" IDs
Thanks for your valuable participation.
Although, it does demonstrate you don't know the corporate world.

Re: Provide moderators with "common" IDs
Actually he's right on. I'll teach you another corporate world lesson. When you whine about your manager to your boss, your boss is going to have a good laugh with your manager. And you aren't going to get a raise for years.

Re: Provide moderators with "common" IDs
Quote:
He's not. Elevated privileges has nothing to do with people "saying" anything. What it does have to do with is accountability, and is related to Sarbanes Oxley and other regulation and control remediation. If you feel like I am whining to the boss, why would you have said this? For some reason (arrogance? vanity?), I suspect you think I based this suggestion on you. I did not. I am sure others would appreciate the ability to ignore your posts if they could, but I care little about them, and typically skip over them. It's something about the unwarranted arrogance and humble bragging that I personally find off-putting, but I doubt I would add you to the ignore list. Was there anything else you would like to teach me? ![]() Edit: While unwarranted arrogance and humble bragging are not necessarily favorable traits in my opinion, I have not personally witnessed you repeatedly and intentionally trolling. THAT IS WHAT THIS SUGGESTION IS ABOUT.

Re: Provide moderators with "common" IDs
If a Mod wants a second ID to moderate, I am not adverse to that - they just have to ask me to set up the other ID as a moderator.

How about this. Take you meds. You might save yourself from continuing to make a fool out of yourself on a public forum and probably a heart attack. It was a joke and you fell right into it. Wow. Try reading for comprehension next time.
