This is from The Whos show in Austria early 1970s. It's from silvers. It took the whole globe to reach my hometown again. Austria (recording) > Japan (bootleg company) > canada (who bought this boot) > Austria (trade with me).
What happened to this recording? I'd really like to get hold of an untouched version of this show, as their performance is quite tight :drool

some strange patterns b/w shots revealed:

On the last track there's a small click noticeable, as you would execute a file on your operating system:

get a sample of this position here:

Also strange to me is that the sound's getting weaker on quieter parts of the recording (e.g. between songs):

Any thoughts appreciated

looks like it was lossy before being broadcast (FM?) then a quite clean digital capture with some errors introduced during the recording from broadcast or perhaps from cdr gens. I'm just guessing from what I can see. I can d/l the sample when I'm back from vacation next week and take a look too.

Thanks,
this is an audience recording. Sad that the quality of The Who sources are not that well as with other bands like Nirvana or Led Zeppelin. The trading pool seems to be messed up. Or am I missing something?

On the last track there's a small click noticeable, as you would execute a file on your operating system:
That click sure looks like it went through lossy encoding or strong noise reduction (click + pre-/post-echo noise)

Frankly, I wouldn't want to touch this, not even with the proverbial 3m (10') pole. ;)
