Video Timeline Thumbnails in Vegas

Is there a way to turn off the thumbnails on the video timeline in Vegas? This would be most helpful, but I can't seem to find an option anywhere.

Anyone know if this is possible?

the option I found is to just drag that window box for the video track up to make the thumbnails really small (and basically disappear). Things seem to speed up after doing that.
