This is the zombie tracker (http://www.zombie-tracker.com/), but I think you mean zomb (http://zombtracker.the-zomb.com/)

The odd thing is, the tracker seems to be running, still. The site, however...

It is strange since I checked regularly there and didnīt see any talk about closing the site...

I suspect someone lost control of the domain and it didn't get renewed. Whats odd is the tracker should have been reliant on the domain if setup correctly unless the tracker of running on another server with a different domain.

Forgetting to renew the domain, a common torrent admin problem. Hope the guy is OK.
The tracker is on or more subdomains like t1.the-zomb.com and that resolves to the same IP of some domain monetization service as the top level does.

However, torrent clients are janky and weird. It may be your client either shows the tracker online because it isn't querying DNS for a new IP or because the current IP doesn't return errors for invalid subdomains since everything is routed to the same placeholder page (so you won't get the 404/403 you would normally get). You may also be able to upload/download through existing p2p connections.

Hey guys,

I was one of the last remaining active staff members at Zomb.

Unfortunately the news is that Zomb is dead. This came unexpectedly and was not the way the site owner wanted things to go.

Got info today that the site owner is dealing with some serious medical issues, making life more difficult. They also had some technical problems leading to loss of access to needed things to keep everything running. So the domain has at least expired as a result. Expect everything to stop working eventually. I don't have knowledge of the technical set up, but it's irrelevant at this point.

Sad time in more than one way, but it is what it is and has been coming for a long time, in my eyes anyway.

Forgot to say this... I guess was I was still processing the news myself.

Thank you to all who participated in the community over the years (20+ of them).

And especially thank you to those who also contributed financially to help keeping the lights, you guys rock!

Thank you for helping it along and keeping it going as long as it did, and Damn!
Zomb was a great resource, so much cool music passed through there...wIll always remember it for Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana... those elmo leak days.. etc. Hope the owner can deal with the health issues as best as possible..

I was hoping it was just some sort of technical hiccup, since a few weeks ago it went down, and I thought it was gone. Then it came back up, and I grabbed a couple of Glastonbury telecasts.

So, this place and Dime with dedicated trackers, and R-O is about all that's left from the mid-2000s heyday of torrent trading, I'm assuming. I mean yeah, we do have Raving and Drooling as well, which rose from the ashes of Yeeshkul.

How would one find the Raving and Drooling site?
