Ninja Five, addition to your pile of tools Wavosaur free audio editor. Extremely compact hence you can still use your floppy disk and moreover it has nice spectrum analyzer with unusual number of options.

Audionet Carma

Quote:
The Audionet CARMA software makes it possible to locate and correct amplitude variations caused by your loudspeaker and your listening room. Amplitude variations in frequency domain can be corrected with up to 5 equalisers in a graphic environment. The corrected frequency response is immediately processed and shown on the display.

The settings of each equalizer, i.e. frequency, quality etc., are processed automatically and listed in a separate window. These settings can then be used for a equaliser, e.g. the one that is integrated in the Audionet DNA I, DNP or DNC.

CARMA 4 now also offers a powerful interface to Audionet’s networkable DNx systems. With this unique network it is possible to implement the best possible sound characteristics for every room.

I have the MAP1 from Audionet

thanks, this is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for!

I forgot this one, tried it a long time ago when it was new. phase scope is 'good enough' and a rare feature! I'll look deeper soon. I wish for something a little better than audacity for free, that isn't out there. libre office for adobe audition would be a great dream but I'll take whatever I can get.

you can get a lot of cool free plugins searching https://www.kvraudio.com/ free category

Re: DARU/SPECTRUM-ANALYZER! freeware

well alternative open source wav editor is pretty slim.. this looks like its kinda okay it doesn't alter all the samples with dither everytime you do anything and is proud of it, very cool. if you so much as cut a show using audacity it applies dither unless you have that changed in the settings.
http://waveshop.sourceforge.net/

however, I think this freeware is miles ahead.. this is exactly what I want cool edit pro clone amazing. I haven't tested it yet and its missing one thing from cep I wish it had, but check this the f**k out.

Re: DARU/SPECTRUM-ANALYZER! freeware

these look totally 90s. installs to c:\spectrumview and c:\spectrascope

some different settings available compared to the previous progs, working perfectly on win10 just like it was yesterday

there's also a couple other freeware programs along similar lines there, have fun.

SpectraScope is a simple Windows interface program allowing your computer to view up to two audio waveforms in either the time or frequency domain. The program is a Windows soft panel operating as a dual channel oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer. The useful frequency of operation is 20 to 10,000 Hz in the time domain and 20 to 20,000 Hz in the frequency domain. The program uses the computer sound card to capture the audio input.

SpectraScope Features:
  1. Simultaneous two channel operation
  2. Separate gain and offset controls for each channel
  3. Time or frequency domain measurements
  4. Channel Add mode
  5. Channel XY mode (allows display of Lissajous patterns)
  6. Multiple triggering options
  7. Single sweep capability
  8. Display hold
  9. Dual vertical markers for waveform time measurements
  10. File save of the form or graphic screen
  11. Trace and background color selections
