red and non-red ip

hi.....meeeerry christmass to all

I wish to all the best bandwidth

I have a question...I am now 150 miles away from my home and my open pc that's downloading...heheh...

I am monitoring from here the progress

I have a question though...I DON'T have a firewall problem...but I see some people with 000.000.000.(6881)(which means I can't see him)
and some with 000.000.000.(6881) (wich means I can see him)

it's the SAME port...why I can see some people and some other not?...

Re: red and non-red ip

the number in () is the port number...if its red they're firewalled, black they're not

Re: red and non-red ip

Just to add to that, everyone has a different IP number (the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx number) and then they can choose to use any port they want for bittorrent. It is that port number that is red, or not. It doesn't mean anything if they happen to be using the same port that you are to torrent through.
