I use Aimp. It laks two things: playing .shn files & cd-text reading.

what do you think of Winamp 5.53?....I used to use to older version and I liked it. but I don't want to download it if there is something better...

I just want to make sure when I download shows on "Utorrent 1770" the player I get will play the files.

Re: Any good Media Players out there?

Thanks,
I do not know anything about plugins?...I was reading some stuff on thier forum, and this appears to be the best one....
I am just good on computers (no very good or great) so I don't want anything that is going to be hard to opperate. just playing shows I get from here, and burning them onto disc so I can listen to them in the car and at work is all I need.
so do you think I should d go ahead and get what you recomend?...

I am sorry to sound like an idiot. but this is the help forum, and I am very grateful for your help
Thank you, Frank

Re: Any good Media Players out there?

Winamp is good. Bundled with hundred of unnecessary things (I talking about full version), but still good.
Foobar has some nice plugins. I don't use it, but I remember it had one plugin that could tag the music files using the info file that come with the bootleg. It was very useful.
Another great player is KMPlayer. I use it for video files, but can be used for audio too. It has tons of functions and you don't have to install codecs, plugins or other stuff. It comes with a Winamp skin so it will be very intuitive.

I guess that's one thing I liked about Jetaudio is: when I downloaded a boot from here. it would show the name of the track, the title, and time... which I thought was cool, instead of seeing unknowned artist...
