Cannot copy file: cannot read from the source file or disk

Hey everyone.

I'm tryin' to download the .torrent file form the 11/02/79 AC/DC show, and I got this message:
"Cannot copy file: cannot read from the source file or disk"

It's the first time I got this problem... Can someone help me please?

My guess is it's the file name "AC:DC1979-11-2.FLAC.torrent". You may want to try a different browser.

it is the : in the torrent file name...this symbol is verboten in microsoft file naming protocall, as is the / in the indivual file names as well

Or ask the original seeder to re-post it with a re-named torrent file....?

Gaston,

Try this. When you open the torrent file, the browser asks what to do: Save, Open, etc.

Choose Save but type in another filename (without the ":", for example: ACDC1979-11-2.FLAC.torrent

Then open the torrent file (saved in your disk) with your bt client and proceed as usual.

I do this when coming across wierd torrent filenames.

I had the similar problem and faced it a lot of times. I often solve this type of problems using "Long Path Tool". It helped me in solving this error and all related errors. I hope you will also love it.
