Re: Trader's Little Helper

I want to say thank you too! Trader's Little Helper is one of the coolest free programs out there - maybe the coolest. It was the first thing I installed with my new pc. It works fine with Windows 7 so far - as far as going from flac to wav and back.

I'm sure we could list hundreds of features to add to it, but I bet the programmer has a life too.

I'm into Internet ads, so if it were me, I'd put text ads of music collector software on it.

Thanks again!!

Re: Trader's Little Helper

Here's a crazy wish list..

It'd be cool if eac (secure ripping) were incorporated to it + it would burn cd's too (hey, why not have it give me pepperoni pizza while we're at it!). The ripping aspect would be best as then it'd be almost stand alone.

Especially as the newest eac doesn't work with Windows 7, its a good time.

And then torrent. I don't expect it to replace UTorrent, but that's the list of what I do - rip, convert to flac, seed shows and burn them.

And if it stays the way it is, that's also great - its awesome as it.

Eventually I gotta get one of those music collector programs, but that's a big project..

Re: Trader's Little Helper

Okay, I need a little help with the latest version of tlh. Create torrent.
I select my directory. " Downloads as folder" now defaults to the folder name. That's good.
Peers source: single tracker. Uncheck private torrent.
Select my tracker.
Ignore comment.
Torrent file to create: I select the folder that the flac files are in. For save in: I leave the folder where the older torrent files are. I save, but 'create' remains greyed out. I cannot get to that step. Help please? There is no help file in the latest version of TLH.
Thanks,
"

Your are not using the *latest* release of TLH (v2.5.0 build 164, released December 10th this year) because the latest one fixes the bug causing the Create button on the Create torrent file page to stay disabled.

You can get the new release at the TLH homepage or via the Check for update function of TLH (Help menu > Check for update).

Setup one tracker to be a default tracker, then the create option will appear. Ore select another folder to create a .torrent from, then go back and select the folder you actually want to use. Then create will be available.

What have those hexadecimal values to do with Trader's Little Helper? What are you talking about actually?

Re: Trader's Little Helper

last month having problems with TLH (v2.5.0 build 164) running win xp home, sp3
when I tell it to make a ffp it hangs and never finishes
I can abort and start over and it'll hang on a different file
it has no problems making the flac files or making a md5
just hangs up when making a ffp

Re: Trader's Little Helper

Do you have anything else running at he same time? Is it possable you are over loading the CPU, or memory? The task manager will tell you if those are overloaded.
What was the last thing you changed? I'm talking about computer settings, adding or deleting programs. Stuff like that.
Is the harddrive your working with nearly full?
How about spyware?
Those are the type of things I see causing freeze ups like that.
Thanks Mike

The procedures for creating checksum files weren't changed/reworked with the latest update from v2.4.1 to v2.5.0. Does this problem happen all the time or only occasionally when you create a ffp file?
